# How does a Pre-plan funeral differ from funeral insurance?

Debbie Mace, our Pre-plan Consultant at Pettigrew Family Funerals guides you through your pre-plan funeral needs. She shares some information around a frequently asked question: "What's the difference between a pre-plan funeral and funeral insurance?"

*A pre-plan funeral differs from funeral insurance in that as with all insurance policies, you continue to pay a monthly ongoing amount until your death, as insensitive as it may sound, this can be the best option for those who expect to pass away in a short period of time. And at the time of death, a specified amount will be paid out to your family. I know tomorrow is promised to none of us, but if you like myself, believe you have many years of living ahead, there may be a pre-plan funeral is a better financial decision for you.*
