Seeking: Funeral Assistant
THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FULFILLED.
This position provides support for both your colleagues and the families we serve. You role will included working on funeral services including greeting families, assisting the funeral arranger and driving of hearses. The role is also a hands on position, helping to maintain the facilities, washing vehicles, basic maintenance and general upkeep of our buildings.
The role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, with some on call (Weeknight & Weekend) work on a rotating 6 month roster. Roster is released in plenty of time to plan your social calendar. Any after hours work will receive monetary compensation
Job tasks and responsibilities
Working as part of a successful, caring and compassionate team and maintaining the highest standards of business, professional and personal conduct.
- Assisting with funerals and taking direction from the arranger
- Basic maintenance of our facilities
- Driving of company cars including hearses and Transfer Vehicles
- Transferring of deceased to our mortuary
- Ensuring safe work practices are adhered to
- Preparation of coffins according to the documentation provided
- Completing all internal and external documentation as required by management
- Assist with viewings when required
- Basic admin tasks
- Participation with the on-call weekend roster and potentially weekday on call roster.
