When choosing music for your loved one's service, something that often comes up is what sort of music do we choose? What's appropriate?

There are no right or wrong answers.

If there is a type of music that best represents your loved one, go for it.

I would encourage you that there is real power and real emotion when we choose something that is truly freeing and that is a genre that truly represents your loved one.
