We are seeking a full time receptionist who will be responsible for caring and looking after every family that walks through the door; whether it is greeting families, arranging meetings, helping with urn orders or simply being someone to listen to families during such a difficult time in their lives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Caring and empathetic nature with an Eye for Detail
- Mature and well presented
- Ability to meet and communicate with grieving families
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Excellent phone manner
- Great time management skills
- Intermediate computer skills and basic experience with Xero
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
- Clear and direct communication skills
- Understanding of WHS Policies and Procedures
- Hold a valid drivers licence and be continually vaccinated for COVID 19 and Influenza
- A background in the funeral industry is not essential
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Working as part of a successful, caring and compassionate team and maintaining the highest standards of business, professional and personal conduct.
- Answering incoming calls, assisting families as well as transferring accordingly.
- Welcoming and caring for families who have lost a loved one.
- Data entry, basic financial duties and taking payments.
- General Administration duties.
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception and office space.
- From time to time there may also be some funeral service work, including assisting on funeral services and bringing loved ones into our care from Aged Care Facilities, Hospitals or residence.
The role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm and may be based at any of our three locations.
